One injured, one behind bars after early morning fight

A man is locked up after he allegedly beat another man unconscious outside a gentleman's club in downtown Shreveport.

The incident happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Commerce St.

Randolph Garrett, 37, is accused of repeatedly hitting Brennen Crook after a verbal dispute turned into a physical altercation.

Crook was transported to University Health Medical Center with serious injuries.

Garrett, who was arrested at the scene, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail and charged with Second degree battery.
