The Texarkana, Texas Police Department will expand its hours during summer months to better meet your needs.

The administrative offices of the department will be open Monday thru Thursday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until noon on Friday.

This new schedule will be in effect until Labor Day, Monday, September 1 and is meant to encourage citizens to conduct business before or after the normal 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. work hours.

TTPD Police Sgt.Aaron Brower said, "We hope the summer schedule will better serve our community.  We recognize that our citizens have a normal workday, so we want to be open earlier and stay open later to be more accessible."

The offices of CID and Patrol will maintain a normal schedule throughout the summer.
