Two teenagers are recovering after being shot while traveling in a car on Interstate-20.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on I-20 near Monkhouse Dr. in Shreveport.

Tyreon Woodard, 18, and Christopher Jackson, 19, told police they were headed west on I-20 when another vehicle pulled alongside them and began firing shots.

Woodard was transported to University Health with potentially life-threatening injuries.  Jackson was treated and released from Willis-Knighton Medical Center.

Investigators believe the shooting stems from an ongoing dispute between the victims and a known male suspect.  Authorities are working at this hour to obtain a warrant for his arrest.

Anyone with information about this shooting is urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
