Shreveport lawyer announces candidacy for judge

Shreveport attorney Trina Chu announced Tuesday that she will run for Caddo District Court Judge.

Chu, whose practice is in Family and Immigration laws, received her B.A. degree from Brown University, J.D from Western New England College School of Law/Suffolk University Law School and an M.B.A. from Centenary College.

Trina has been practicing law for 14 years including 10 years in Shreveport. She is a member and fellow of the Shreveport Bar Association.

Trina is involved in numerous community activities such as being a Shreveport Bar Pro Bono Project panel attorney, works with Volunteers for Youth Justice and currently serves on the Shreveport's Mayor's Women Commission. She's married to Surgical Oncologist, Dr. Quyen Chu of University Health. They have two children.
