While rockets, missiles and bullets may be flying across Israel, Sharon Flournoy says she's not scared to travel to the Middle East.

Flournoy, along with 63 other members of Christians United for Israel will leave for Israel on Monday to show support to the state.

"In a time of such chaos, the people of Israel need to know that there are Christians back in America who actually stand with her, in particular, pastors," says Flournoy.

The ordained minister has been with Christians United for Israel for eight years.

Because of the the Israel-Hamas conflict, the group plans to speak with the prime minister and other state officials.

Flournoy doesn't want the world to look at Israel as the enemy.

"You know, Israel has been so courteous as for sending out pamphlets to let them know when they are sending particular missiles or rockets in, to say get out,” says Flournoy. “Hamas is saying don't leave, stay there, you know."

Considering how dangerous the trip will be, some have tried to talk Flournoy out of going.

"There are a lot of people already discouraging me, telling me not to go, but I mean, it is a part of who I am and what I believe in,” says Flournoy. “And if I'm afraid of a missile or a rocket…I mean, that could happen right here in America. We're not safe. I mean, I could walk out and get hit by a car and die, so no, I'm not afraid."

Her pastors at From Bondage to Freedom Outreach Ministries in Shreveport prayed for her safe travel on Sunday and encouraged her to go on the trip.

"I feel like if God gives you an assignment, that he will cover you in the blood of Jesus, so she knows her assignment," says Patricia Hamilton, pastor.

No matter what happens, both pray peace will soon be a reality.

Christians United for Israel will arrive on Tuesday and they'll stay in Israel for a week.
