After spending several days in Israel, a Shreveport minister returns home safely.

Sharon Flournoy traveled with the group Christians United for Israel to show the state spiritual support.

"It was spiritual,” says Flournoy. “It was amazing."

More than 63 pastors from across the country met the assistant to a former prime minister, a former ambassador and a major in the Israeli army.

"We had a location to meet with a major who had permission to come meet with us off the record, as for some of the things he shared with us,” says Flournoy. “Major Benjamin Anthony, he was simply so informative to share with us some of the things that were taking place in this war."

Flournoy said her most touching moment was meeting with the father of Gilad Sharr, one of the 16 year-olds that was kidnapped and murdered at the beginning of the Israel/Hamas bloodshed.

Thanks to a 72-hour cease fire, the group was able to travel to the Gaza strip and Jerusalem.

"It was almost like he wanted the pastors to see his hand at work,” says Flournoy.

While in the midst of planning local prayer rallies for Israel, Flournoy hopes to travel back to Israel soon.
