Sign up for beginner's art course at NSU

If you're interested in learning how to paint a masterpiece you don't want to miss your chance to sign up for "Draw in Nakatosh".

Northwestern State University's Office of Electronic and Continuing Education is offering the class between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. July 21-24 and July 28-31.

Drawing sessions will be taught on Front St. in downtown Natchitoches next to the fountain. Studio lessons will be held in the Mac Lab on the second floor of the Fine Arts Annex.

"Draw in Nakatosh" is a beginning course in drawing and painting techniques.  You will be introduced to basic techniques like graphite, color pencil and watercolor.

You will also learn about the color wheel and elements of perspective that can be helpful for artwork.

There will also be space for students with intermediate and advanced levels to take the class. Students will supply their own materials.
