A meeting was held in the Stoner Hill community. Neighbors believe their needs have been forgotten by some city council members. Mayor Glover addressed the firing of Calvin Grigsby. Grigsby was also given the opportunity to explain what happened.
Most of the people inside the meeting wanted to know when projects would begin in Stoner Hill. They say the bond included renovations to the Valencia Community Center, but that still hasn't happened.
The mayor is pushing for a second bond sale, but it can't move forward without a financial advisor. The mayor suggests allowing Grigsby to finish the work he already started, so construction can begin.
The mayor is also upset that park improvements haven't been made at the Valencia Community Center.
The mayor said, “Dogs have been made more important than the people who live in this district.”
