Storm-driven power outages restored to most of Shreveport and Bossier City

SWEPCO has made significant progress from the Wednesday night storms that caused power outages to thousands of customers in Shreveport and Bossier City.


According to Scott McCloud, spokesman for SWEPCO, power has been restored to more than 61,000 customers.


With the addition of 329 outside personnel (linemen, service and tree), along with other SWEPCO crews from a five state area who made their way to the River Cities, estimated time for restoring power has improved substantially from the initial estimate of 5 p.m. Monday.
