The Louisiana State police at this hour have sealed off a perimeter between  two roads in Webster Parish where they believe a suspect has been corralled, after a chase that began on I-20 at Mile Marker Post 30, between Bossier and Haughton and ended up on foot.

Troopers from Troop G tried to stop the Black Ford Dooley pickup truck at the I-20 location, as it had been reported stolen in Oklahoma two days ago.  The driver, however, opted to accelerate, thus a chase ensued that ended in Webster Parish when the driver exited off I-20.

The driver abandoned the truck in front of a residence and fled on foot. According to state Trooper Matt Harris, public information officer, officers from Troop G, aided by other area law enforcement agencies, have sat up a perimeter between Hatten Roberts and Syrup Mill Roads. They are searching the area, and K-9s are aiding in that search.

Harris said the suspect is a white man, wearing white shorts and a white tank top; it is believed he has blond hair.

Anyone seeing the suspect is asked not to try to talk to suspect, but to immediately call State Police at *LSP or local agencies at 911.
