A tip from a viewer in the Fouke, AR led to the identity of the man who was in possession of the more than $27,000 worth of stolen farm equipment that was taken recently from a farm in Plain Dealing.

Now, the Bossier Sheriff's Office continues to seek your help in locating that man after it was determined he not only possessed the stolen items claiming to simply sell them for someone else but that he was the actual thief.

Jamie Caswell, 35, of Fouke, was arrested by Miller Co. Sheriff's Office Tuesday and charged with theft by receiving, a charge similar to Louisiana's illegal possession of stolen things, after a viewer saw farm equipment at his residence that resembled the stolen farm equipment reported on the news.

Caswell, who had ties to the Plain Dealing area from previous employment, was found to be in possession at his residence in Fouke with two of the three pieces of farm equipment stolen from a barn in the 1000 block of Highway 537 in Plain Dealing.

Recovered were a green 2003 John Deere Model 894 8-row corn header valued at $25,000 and a John Deere water pump used for irrigation valued at $1,000.  A third item, a red and yellow New Holland Model 320 hay baler valued at $1,500 remains missing.

Caswell posted bond Wednesday afternoon from the Miller Co. Jail on the theft by receiving charge.  Caswell claimed to detectives that he was asked by someone else to sell the items, but upon further investigation, detectives believe Caswell is the one who stole all three items.

On Thursday afternoon, a warrant for his arrest for felony theft was issued; his bond is set at $45,000.

Investigators believe Caswell could still be in the Fouke area.  Detectives are also asking anyone who may have purchased a hay baler from Caswell in the past few weeks or if anyone knows the whereabouts of Caswell to contact Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100 of Det. Charlie Myrick of the Bossier Sheriff's Office at (318) 965-2203.
