A man accused of killing a two-year-old girl in East Texas has returned from Mexico.

Jose Casiano-Aburto was arrested in Mexico and held for extradition back to the U.S. and Harrison Co. after an agreement was made not to include the death penalty in the trial.

Casiano-Aburto fled to Mexico in Feb. 2012 after he was named a suspect in the death of 2-year-old Yeli Jimenez.  An autopsy showed Yeli died of blunt force injuries after Casiano-Aburto allegedly struck her.

A date for Casiano-Aburto's trial will be scheduled by the District Attorney's office.  He is currently being held in the Harrison Co. Jail on $1,000,000 bond.
