Suspect locked up after stealing TV's from retail store

A man is in jail after he allegedly stole numerous electronic items from Target in Shreveport.

Robert Allen Sr., 41, was arrested Tuesday morning in the 5100 block of Monkhouse Dr.

Allen is accused of stealing at least five televisions from Target over a span of six months. 

The thefts, which were caught on camera, occurred on Feb. 20, March 13 and the latest on Aug. 8. 

A juvenile female accompanied Allen during the Feb. 20 theft, in which he reportedly stole a television valued over $400.  In all, Allen's alleged thefts cost the retailer a loss of nearly $2,000. 

Allen was booked into the Shreveport City Jail and charged with three counts of Theft of goods and Contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
