Autopsy results of a burned body found inside a home in Sabine Parish last week indicate that the death was a homicide.

The Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office received a 911 call shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday concerning a home in Fisher that was on fire.

Volunteer firefighters responded and extinguished the fire.  Around 7 a.m. Friday the SPSO was alerted that the house was again on fire.  When volunteer firefighters put the fire out they discovered a burned body inside the house.

The victim has not been positively identified.  The SPSO, along with the State Fire Marshall's Office and the Fisher Police Dept., is investigating the death.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office at (318) 256-0006 or (318) 256-9241.
