Texarkana gearing up for National Night Out celebration

Residents in Texarkana, Arkansas are getting ready for National Night Out festivities.

The celebrations will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 citizens in neighborhoods across Texarkana.

National Night Out, a year-long community building campaign, is designed to: 

  • Heighten crime prevention awareness
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back 
Representatives from the Police Department, Fire Department, and City Hall will visit different communities and will be available for questions and you can also share your concerns about police services in your neighborhood.
