President Barack Obama condemned the killing of journalist James Foley Wednesday, saying that "the entire world is appalled" by the execution carried out by ISIS militants.
ISIS released a gruesome video showing Foley's beheading. The video also threatened the life of another captive American journalist, Steven Sotloff, warning he will be killed if the United States fails to halt ongoing airstrikes targeting ISIS forces in Iraq.
"ISIL speaks for no religion," the President added. "Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just God would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day."
Mr. Obama went on to say that he had spoken with Foley's parents and told them "we are all heartbroken at their loss."
