Three Houston men arrested after TTPD interrupt burglary in progress

Texarkana Texas Police today arrested three suspects who broke into a residence in the 6600 block of North Park Road.


Lawrence Hubbard, Willie Powell and Lamarcus Lavigne, all of Houston, were taken into custody by TTPD officers, shortly after they arrived on the scene.


The officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress call late this morning (March 21) on North Park Road.


Three males broke into the residence in the 6600 block of North Park Road, and the homeowner was on the scene. When officers arrived, the men fled on foot. Officers captured Hubbard, 40, after a brief foot pursuit.


Officers stayed on scene looking for the other two suspects. During their search, officers were advised by a resident in the 7000 block of North Park Road that someone was burglarizing her house.


The officers then observed the other two suspects fleeing in the 6900 block of North  Park Road.


Another foot pursuit ensued, with officers locating and arresting Powell, 34, and Lavigne, 25, in a woody patch near North Park Road.


All three suspects were arrested for Burglary of a Habitation and Evading Arrest on foot. The case is still under further investigation.
