Three men arrested in De Queen nursing home abuse case

Three De Queen, Arkansas, men have been arrested and charged with abuse of an endangered or impaired person, following an investigation at Brookwood  Nursing Center at De Queem.

John Halpern, 24, was arrested April 23, and Trenton Hamm, 24, of Wickes, was arrested the next day.  A third person, Ryan Hawthorne, 31, of De  Queen, was arrested Tuesday.

Abuse of an endangered or impaired person is a Class D felony and punishable by up to six years in prison and up to a  $10,000 fine.
