Three teens locked up after overnight burglary

Three teenagers are in jail in connection with a late night burglary in west Shreveport.

The burglary happened shortly before midnight Sunday in the 3000 block of Alabama Ave.

Jamar Trotter,17, and two 14-year-old males are accused of stealing property from a nearby home.

While patrolling the neighborhood police spotted the suspects and took them into custody.

Officers were also able to recover the stolen property and return it to the homeowner.

Trotter was booked into the Shreveport City Jail and the two juveniles were booked into the Caddo Juvenile Detention Center.

All were charged with a single count of Burglary of an inhabited dwelling.   

Police expect additional charges as the investigation continues.
