A Bossier City man is in jail after police discover thousands of dollars in suspected marijuana in his car.

Kedrick Joseph, 29, was pulled over late Monday night near the intersection of McDade St. and Barbara St.

Officers detected a smell consistent with the odor of burnt marijuana coming from Joseph's 1996 Pontiac Sunfire.  They recovered 215 grams of "high grade" marijuana with an estimated street value of more than $5,000.

Police also found 20 Ecstasy tablets inside the vehicle.

Joseph was booked into the Bossier City Jail on charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of ecstasy.
