Two hospitalized following early-morning gunfight

Two people have been hospitalized after what Shreveport Police Public Information officer Cpl. Marcus Hines called “an exchange of gunfire between two groups of people.”

The incident  happened at the Cajun Inn Hotel in the 2600 block of Clayborne around 5 this morning, and two people were transported to University Health, Hines said. 

The names of the injured have not yet been released and detectives are actively investigating the incident.  It is not known at this time whether any arrests have been made. More details will be released as they become available
