Two suspects behind bars for robbing liquor store at gunpoint

Two men face charges for allegedly holding up a liquor store in DeSoto Parish.

The robbery happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rick’s Liquor in the 8000 block of Hwy 84 in Mansfield.

Witnesses told authorities that two black males, one wearing a mask and carrying a handgun, entered the store and took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.  Detective’s recovered money bags a short distance away from the scene of the robbery. 

On Thursday investigators arrested Kedron Booker, 21, and Johnny Williams, 23, during a traffic stop.  Deputies recovered two handguns, jewelry, and about $1,600 in cash fromt the vehicle. 

Booker and Williams later confessed to authorities during interviews.

Both Booker and Williams are being held at the DeSoto Parish Detention Center.

Booker was charged with Armed Robbery and Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Serial Number. 

Williams was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of Firearm or Carrying Concealed Weapon by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies and Felony Probation Violation.
