Two young mothers were found dead in their home on Mother's Day. The fatal shooting happened inside a home in the 3000 block of Bragg Street near the intersection of Shed Road and Airline Drive.

Bossier Police say the women were roommates. The officers responded to the home around 8:15 a.m. for a welfare call, after a family member discovered the bodies in the home.

“They died of apparent gunshots wounds, and we’re treating this as a double homicide,” said Sgt. Brian Griffith.

Many of the neighbors said they did not hear any gunshots.

“They pretty much stayed to themselves, they had two little babies that are missing their moms right now,” said Jennifer Pearson.

So far, police have not named a suspect.

“I can assure you our detectives are out working now and will work it until they find a resolution. Until they find a suspect and make an arrest,” said Griffith.

Police are not releasing the names of the victims until their families are notified. If you have any information on this case, you can leave an anonymous tip with Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100.
