Confirmed information given to the NBC 6 newsroom from the Communications Department at the Caddo Parish Schools regarding the lockdown of two Shreveport schools has been retracted.

Initially, the district's chief communication officer confirmed to NBC 6 news that Youree Drive Middle School and Captain Shreve High School were placed on lockdown Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat at a nearby local business.

About 45 minutes after the original confirmation, Communications officials with Caddo Parish Schools talked to NBC 6 again and told us that the schools had not been placed on lockdown.  Officials say they received misinformation from the scene.
