Caddo Parish Sheriff's deputies have cleared the scene of an early morning accident involving three 18-wheelers.

The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday on Hwy 1 in south Caddo Parish.

The northbound lane of Hwy 1 South was shut down for several hours in front of the Relay Station but was reopened around 10 a.m.

Officials say a southbound 18-wheeler turned in front of a northbound tanker truck carrying 6,450 gallons of Hydrosol. The tank was punctured and all of the liquid was released onto the roadway.

A third 18-wheeler that was in the parking lot was also hit.

The spill was cleaned up and only minor injuries were reported.

The driver of the southbound 18-wheeler, Christian Gilmartin, 49, of North Richmond Hills, Texas was cited for failure to yield.
