This show will represent the evidence of hard work by the Summer Morning Mix participants. Our students have again proven that they have a unique interest in music and specifically in the performance of jazz. We will perform some iconic tunes such as Smooth Operator, Don’t Worry Be Happy, The Girl from Ipanema, Cantaloupe Island, The Look of Love, and Round Midnight just to name a few. Round Midnight will actually feature former Yazzy participant Trevarri Huff-Boone, saxophonist, and sophomore at Loyola State University. These tunes are guaranteed to keep the audience in a cool spirit. We applaud the effort of our students to take their summer to share with us the great gift of jazz at its best. This show will highlight our children in all divisions of the arts while displaying the smooth jazz style of music. A lot of hard work and sacrifice has gone into the production of the show and we hope that all who attend will enjoy the fruit of our labor. Our children need and deserve your support!
