Update: 2 children among the dead in Ark. twister

Faulkner County Emergency Management Association spokesman, David Hogue held a press conference this morning with reporters to provide an update on the damage in Vilonia and Mayflower.

According to Hogue, he's been in contact with Faulkner County coroner Pat Moore who has confirmed that 2 children, 8 adults are among those dead in Sunday's twister.

Hogue is asking civilian volunteers to stay out of the area, while they try and assess the damage, as well as, look for those who may still be in the area. 

According to Hogue, more than 60 homes were damaged, many of the homes, were homes destroyed and rebuilt after a previous tornado.

These 10 deaths, are apart of the state's total count of 16 deaths.  One of those deaths is a person in El Paso in White County.

According to Lt. Carl Minden with Pulaski County Sheriff's office there have been three confirmed deaths along the 4000 Block of Deer Drive on the Western edge of Pulaski County.
