Original Story:

Shreveport Police investigate an early morning fatal shooting.
It took place in the 4100 block of Jacob Street just before 2:00 a.m.

Police say two men got into a heated argument and were yelling at one another.

One of the men left the scene, but soon came back with a rifle in hand.

He began firing shots, and one of the bullets hit the other man in the upper body.

It's still unclear what the argument was about, but Shreveport Police tell Channel 6 that when they got to the scene, the man who had been shot had died.

The shooter ran from the scene.

Police say no arrest has been made, but they are confident they know who the suspect is because the two men knew each other.

They also say they are questioning someone in regard to the shooting.
