Vivian man indicted for sister's murder

A Vivian man accused of killing his sister and then setting fire to the family's home has been indicted for the crimes.

Christopher McCauley, was indicted yesterday by a grand jury on a second degree murder charge.

Police investigators say McCauley murdered his sister, Carmen, before lighting the family's home in Vivian on fire in mid-May.

McCauley ran from the scene. He was arrested following a brief manhunt along Youree Drive in Shreveport.
