Bossier mayor's wife dies

 Adele Marchena Walker, 75, wife of Bossier City Mayor Lorenz Walker died at the couple's Bossier City home Wednesday evening following a lengthy illness.

 Mrs. Walker was preceeded in death by one son, William "Lance" Walker. In addition to Mayor Walker, she is survived by one daughter, Linda Walker.

  A private ceremony will be arranged for Mrs. Walker in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.


We have some unfortunate news to pass along this morning, NBC 6 News has confirmed the passing of Adele Walker, the long time wife of Bossier City Mayor Lo Walker. 

Adele Walker passed away on Wednesday evening.

We are told she had been under hospice care at the time of her passing.

Funeral services are being planned. We will bring you the details once they are finalized.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Walker family on this day.
