Swimming pools all over the world attempted the largest simultaneous swim lesson today.
Splash Kingdom Water park participated in the worldwide event for the 5th year.
They had about 200 participants learning how to enter the water, hold their breath, and basic swimming strokes.
"If a child doesn't learn to swim by the age of 5 or 6 uh the risk of drowning dramatically goes up so it’s just so important that we teach kids early that learning to swim is an important life skill," Says Jared Troutman the general manager.
The Shreveport Swim School provided instructors for the event.
