Locals came out to celebrate a milestone at an area school today.
W.T. Lewis held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their first major expansion earlier this afternoon.
The school now has twelve new class rooms to fulfill their growing needs.
Their population has grown significantly in recent years and that has people excited.
"This expansion is more than just about the brick and border and extra space needed at W.T. Lewis. It's really ignited a lot of ideas and excitement about our future at the school,” Says Principal, Lisa Burns.
The expansion was a result of the 2012 bond referendum.
