There is no cure, but Type 1 or Juvenile Diabetes can be manageable.

Through research, JDRF hopes to make a difference in the lives of millions.

Type 1 Diabetes is an auto-immune disease that occurs when the pancreas doesn't produce enough insulin.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation raises money for research in hopes of finding a cure.

They're hosting a walk, September 13th from 7:30am to 11:30am at Party Central on Viking Drive.

11-year-old Caleb Shirley and his mother, Kellie Shirley, stopped by NBC 6 News This Morning to share their story and how you can help find a cure.
