Broderick Fobbs says College Football copies ideas from HBCU

October 3, 2017 - The Grambling State Tigers were over at Soldier Field for the Chicago Classic this past weekend and will be at the Cotton Bowl taking on the Prairie View Panthers next. In what Coach Fobbs says will be the Panthers superbowl. Fobbs talked about the impact the HBCU has had on games that are deemed "classics" and hes very proud to have a background in a program where some of these traditions stemmed from.
"Broderick Fobbs said: If you really look at the scope of college football there's a lot of copying coming from a lot of  HBCU's. I don't say that in a cocky way but if you look at a lot of the opening day matchups you have Alabama coming to Dallas to play what is called a classic game now; you have LSU who is scheduled to play in Houston which are classic games now. I think all of this started with HBCU football."
