Jonathan Blount paced the Maroon and White with 24 points in his final contest for his hometown school. The senior finishes his career among the scoring leaders in the SCAC (ninth) and program (eighth) history with 1,573 career points and back-to-back SCAC Player of the Year honors.
James Sapp posted his third double-double of the season with 12 points and grabbing a career-high 20 rebounds in the effort. Caden Cheramie also tabbed in 12 points to round out the double-digit scoring producers for the Gents.
Sapp and Blount garnered all-tournament team laurels.
Centenary finished the season with an 18-10 record marking the first winning season since the 2002-03 team went 16-12 and the most wins in a season since the 1989-90 team went 22-8.
The Gents struggled from the field shooting 35.9 percent in the contest and was held to just over 20 percent from behind the arc. The field goal percentage marked the lowest for the Maroon and White since Jan. 12 at Colorado College when the squad posted a 35.8 clip in the loss to the Tigers.
Robert Kitzinger led TU with 22 points en route to garnering Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.
