LAKE CHARLES, La - After making their sixth straight semifinal appearance, the Bossier Bearkats made their second straight semifinal exit. Bossier fell to U-Lab 71-49, falling a game short of playing for the school's second state championship in three years.

The Bearkats couldn't catch a break in the first quarter, while U-Lab could do no wrong. Point blank shots were rattling out for the 'Kats as the Cubs built a 19-9 advantage after one quarter.

Bossier closed the deficit to seven at the half, but U-Lab continued its hot shooting in the third quarter, starting the frame on a 6-0 run and building a 49-32 advantage.

The hill was too steep for the boys from the Ark-La-Tex, as U-Lab went on to beat Bossier as their season ends a game shy of playing for a state championship for the second consecutive season.
