DENVER, Co - Jacob Hester's stay in Denver didn't last long.

One day after being told he made the 53-man roster, the Denver Broncos gave the Shreveport-native the pink slip, instead opting for a linebacker off the waiver wire.

Hester was vying for the fourth running back spot in Peyton Manning's offense.

The former LSU joined the Broncos late in the 2012 season, scoring two touchdowns in limited action.
