DOYLINE, La - After three previous attempts, Brittany Bates hopes the fourth time is a charm to win a state medal in the Louisiana high school wrestling championships.

If she places at least third in the 106 lb. division,  she would become the first female wrestler in the state of Louisiana to medal at state. Bates fell one point shy of accomplishing that feat in 2013.

The sophomore from Doyline enters the state meet with a 21-1 record. The state finals are in Kenner, LA on Feb. 21st.
