Holtz Impressed by SMU

December 4, 2017 - In just over two weeks the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will meet SMU in the DXL Frisco Bowl.

When they face off, the Bulldog defense will have their hands full.

Chad Morris' team is averaging just over 40 points a game, and they have a pair of receivers in Trey Quinn and Cortland Sutton who both have over 1,000 yards this season.

Coach Holtz has a lot of respect for the Mustangs program.

Skip Holtz said, "You know Chad Morris has done an unbelievable job with that program. He went in there and started building it a couple of years ago, and I have great respect with the job that he's done in the program there at SMU. I've had an opportunity to play against them a number of times, and to see the success they've had, I know they're 7-5, they can put up some points. They're doing a really nice job. So, I'm really excited to getting the film and really diving into it and learn a little bit more about the history and the breakdown of what exactly we're facing on gameday."

The Bulldogs and the Mustangs will face off on December 20th at 7:00 in Frisco at Toyota Stadium.
