According to multiple media reports, the Dallas Cowboys will sign Jon Kitna to provide additional depth at quarterback in case Tony Romo cannot play Sunday against the Eagles.

If the paperwork clears, it would be Kitna's second tour of duty in Dallas. The 41-year-old veteran quarterback was the starting signal-caller for the Blue Stars in 2010. During his one-year stint with the Cowboys, Kitna amassed more than 2,000 yards passing and 16 touchdowns.

The Cowboys have not completely ruled Tony Romo out for Sunday's game, despite ESPN's claim that he is sidelined the rest of the season with a severe back injury.
