La Tech opens Spring Practice

Brad Cesak said, "Well it was a busy day for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. All major sports in action today, but the focus here in Ruston was on the football team. Spring practice beginning for the Bulldogs. A lot of new faces, and a lot of holes to fill across the starting 22, but Coach Skip Holtz said it was a great first day here on the practice field."

Skip Holtz said, "It was a great day to come out here and work. I love the retention, the attitude, the effort. We've got a young football team. We've got a lot of question marks. We've got a lot of guys that are really eager to get out here and play football. I do like the attitude of this team, but we've got a long, long way to go to get there, but I though overall there was a lot of really good carryover, a lot of retention from a lot of these players that we were able to come out here and run the amount of offense and defense that we were able to do and have these guys come out here and retain it."

Cesak said, "So the Bulldogs have 14 more practices over the next handful of weeks with everything wrapping up on April 8th with the Spring Game.
