Mudbugs prep for biggest series of the year

The Shreveport Mudbugs are just one win this weekend away from clinching home ice advantage in the first round of the NAHL playoffs.

The problem is, the Mudbugs have had very little success against the Ice Rays this season.

In fact they have just three wins  in 11-games against Corpus Christi, and that adds just a little more heat to this weekends series.

"Obvious it would be huge for us to gain some confidence against Corpus. It's a reality that we haven't done well against them this season. I don't think it's a lack of effort but they've stayed to their game plan more than we have" said Mudbugs defenseman Croix Evingson. "We'll be ready for them this weekend. We know how big it is. If we can send a message to them now it will bode well for the playoffs."

"If we solve them then we have more confidence for Saturday. If we play real good Saturday and meet them in round one process wise it's taken care of itself" said Mudbugs assistant coach Francis Anzalone.
