Mudbugs set to face playoff foe at home

October 10, 2017 - The Mudbugs are back at home for the first time in nearly a month this weekend. If that wasnt exciting enough for Bugs fans the cherry on top is the fact that theyre playing last years playoff foe the Corpus Christi Icerays for a two game set. The Icerays eliminated the bugs in last seasons opening round of the NAHL Robertson cup playoffs. The Mudbugs say the bitter taste left in their mouths makes them want to defend their home ice even more.

"Jordan Fader said: Absolutely you could even tell in preseason we were getting in scrubs with them everyone pretty much knows what happened but for the guys that were here it left a bitter taste in our mouth you know thats just not the way we wanted to end the season on so its a big weekend for us just to kind of show that we can play and we can beat them."
Gabe Wahl said: "Any game with them is going to be a tough game they knocked us out of the playoffs last year and I think there is still a bitter taste in our mouth with them so you know they're going to come into our home rink and we are looking to take them out."
