NEW BOSTON, TX - After spending the past several years as offensive coordinator, Jamey Thomas begins his first season as head coach in New Boston.  Thomas has to replace 3,000 yard rusher Damien Haskins and doing so will be a tough challenge.

Thomas will look for several guys to help carry the load.  With four tailback on the roster, several guys have stepped in since the start of fall practice.

Jawaun Johnson, a Northern Illinois commit, will be the back bone to the Lions defense.  Add in Jeff Gladney and linebacker Wes Teague, the Lions defense will be tough and that gives New Boston the edge early.
