SHREVEPORT, La. - The second ranked LSU Shreveport Pilots men's basketball team looked to bounce back from suffering their first loss of the season Thursday against Southwest.  They were able to top the twenty-fourth ranked Langston Lions by a final of 106-96. The Pilots improve to 10-1 overall and 1-1 in Red River Athletic Conference play while the Lions fall to 6-4 overall and 0-2 in conference.

"That was a really big win for us tonight," said LSUS Head Coach Kyle Blankenship.  "Langston is an extremely well coached team who plays very hard.  We knew it was going to be tough to come out with a victory tonight but I'm proud of our guys for rising to the challenge.  We shot the ball extremely well in particular Benjamin and Josh.  Also, when your guys that are playing in the four and five sports finish the game with 31 points and 30 rebounds that's hard to beat.  So, give credit to D.J. and Jamal for battling their tails off.  We needed a bounce back win after the loss Thursday so we will celebrate this one and then get ready for another big one versus LSUA."
