Riverside outruns the Rebels

LAKE CHARLES, LA - A seven point difference at the half turned into a 49 point rout at the end.

No. 1 seed Riverside Academy outscored No. 28 seed N. Caddo 65-23 in the second half on its way to a 101-52 blowout in the semifinals of the Class 2A Louisiana state basketball championships.

Riverside featured five players in double-figure, led by Malik Crowfield's 26 points.

North Caddo's Jontaveon Brooks poured in 20 points to lead the Rebels, but Riverside shut down the rest of the squad.

Riverside will play for the Class 2A state title on March 15th against the winner of St. James vs Lakeview.
