Rose' scoring, Thomas' rebounding lifts Grambling past JSU

HOUSTON, TX - Grambling won three conference games during the regular season, but made their fourth win count in the postseason by eliminating Jackson St. with a 84-75 win in the first round of the SWAC Conference tournament.

Three Tigers scored in double-figures, led by Sophomore Terry Rose who contributed a game-high 22 points in the victory.

Chandler Thomas added 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Antwan Scott poured in 16 points.

Grambling moves to 5-23 overall, 4-15 in conference. The Tigers advance to the quarterfinal round of the SWAC tourney and will play No. 2 seed Texas Southern at 12:30pm on Wednesday, March 12th.
