An exciting day for three Texas A&M University, Texarkana alumni.

Thursday night, the school's annual Distinguished Alumni and Faculty Celebration was held.

Local community members, business owners and school personnel all attended.

Each year, the school's Alumni Association pick up to three people who they think show great service.

This year's three include: Mark McKay, Nicole Raley and H. Lee Stanley.

Each show the true pride of the Eagle Spirit, and officials say it's important to honor that.

"They've done great things in their careers, they're also involved in the community and it's a way for the University to congratulate them for their great service and it proves that hard work does pay off," said Manager of Communications Bob Bruggeman.
