It's called Treat our Troops and for the second year in a row Waller Elementary is partnering with Soldiers' Angels to collect individually wrapped sweets and treats for our U.S. troops deployed overseas. The students spent monday morning making posters to promote the candy drive.

If you would like to donate you can drop off any sweet treats at waller, which is located at 11-30 Patricia Drive in Bossier. There will be a "Treat our Troops" box in the lobby. Candy will be accepted until November 13, then packaged and shipped.

Last year Waller raised over 2,000 IBS of candy, this year they hope for even more.

Also, if you don't have candy to donate but wish to help out; you can do so by donating a small amount of money to Waller to help pay for shipping.
