Arrest made in overnight shooting

Shreveport police have arrested a teenager after allegedly shooting a man Friday.
Authorities have arrested a 19 year old man after he allegedly shot a Shreveport man following a verbal altercation.

On November 8, 2013, Shreveport Police Officers responded to a home in the 2000 block of Ford Street in Shreveport relative to a shooting.
 
On officers arrival at the home, it was learned a male victim had been shot in the face.

The victim, identified as Gino White, was transported to University Medical Center for injuries considered to be non life-threatening.

The suspect, who fled the scene prior to officers arrival, reportedly retrieved a handgun and shot White during the argument.

Shreveport Police Violent Crimes detectives arrived on scene and launched an immediate investigation.

During the investigation, evidence was gathered linking the suspect, identified at 19 year old Quatrevious Washington the crime.

Police, upon making contact with Washington, took him into custody and transported him to police headquarters.

Following interviews with authorities, Washington was arrested and charged with a single count of attempted second degree murder.

Washington was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
